Ignite receives no funding from the University of Texas. For this reason, we hold various fundraising events throughtout the school year, such as a benefit concert and dodgeball tournament, to cover the expenses of the retreat. We also rely heavily on church and individual support, as these donations make up 40% of our fundraising goal each year.

This year's fundraising goal is $20,000. During the 2006-2007 school year, we raised over $16,000, and we have faith that the Lord will abundantly provide for us again. We have filed the paperwork to receive tax exempt status from the IRS and are currently awaiting approval. By May 2008, we hope to be a 501(c)3 non-profit organization! For now, our Employer Identification Number (EIN) is: 61692940
